About TIME ATLAS
TIME ATLAS is a free world clock for checking the current time in cities around the globe and for planning calls, travel and online meetings across time zones.
What you can do here
- See the live local time, date and UTC offset for hundreds of cities and time zones.
- Compare any date and time in your own time zone with another city, including daylight saving changes.
- Save favorite cities in your browser and switch between 12-hour and 24-hour display.
- Read the guides to learn how UTC, daylight saving time and unusual time zones work.
- Open a city page for time zone details, daylight saving rules and working hours converted to UTC.
How the time is calculated
The current moment comes from your device's clock. City times are calculated in your browser with the IANA time zone database that ships with it, and daylight saving time is applied according to the date being shown. TIME ATLAS does not synchronize with an official time server. If your device clock is wrong, or your browser has not yet received a recent time zone rule change, the result can be off.
Limits to keep in mind
- The day/night marker uses a simple 06:00–18:00 rule. It is not the real sunrise or sunset time.
- The business-hours bar highlights 09:00–18:00 as a general reference. Local holidays, weekends and personal schedules are not included.
- The city list covers major cities by name and other places by their IANA time zone. It does not list every small town.
Language
The site is written in English. The language menu in the top-right corner uses Google Translate to translate the page automatically. Machine translation can contain errors, and the English text is the original.
Who runs TIME ATLAS
TIME ATLAS is an independent project. It is not affiliated with any government, standards body or time zone database, and it does not sell your data. Readers can reach us at any time through the contact page.
How we keep the information accurate
- Time zone data: city times and offsets are calculated from the IANA time zone database built into your browser, which is the same source used by most operating systems and programming languages.
- Automated checks: before the site is updated, an automated script compares the standard offset and the daylight saving status of every city page against current time zone data.
- Guides: each guide shows the date it was last updated. Governments change time zone rules, so for legal, travel or safety-critical decisions please confirm with an official source.
- Corrections: if you report an error we check it, fix it and update the page date.
Corrections and feedback
